Located in the heart of Fairmont, blocks from Fairmont’s historic downtown district, SMEC provides a location for businesses & organizations to bring the community together. The site houses the United Hospital District’s Therapy Program, office space for STEP, Inc., the Senior Place, and Community Education and Recreation offices and event spaces. Meeting rooms are available for business & community use.

The Senior Place, room 127 at the Southern Minnesota Educational Campus (115 S Park Street, Fairmont), is open for community seniors to play cards and games, put together puzzles or just socialize weekdays from 8 am – 5 pm
